Hi,
I'm fairly sure that SunCluster 2 doesn't support a single node cluster, and
that is most likely why clustd is not starting, apart from the fact that you
don't have a private interconnect setup to the second node, etc.
SunCluster 3 does support single node configurations, but this is a fairly
recent 'improvement'.
Effectively to get SunCluster 2 going you need
two systems can be any sun box, however the guru's will say two
simular/identical configs, to reduce headaches.
shared disk storage
with at least 2 NICS per system, one for the private interconnect, and the
other for the 'public' network.
Even then I'm doubtful that it will be happy, as it tends to like at least 2
interconnects. Then you are going to need to have a terminal concentrator
for the console screens, I'm not sure if this is mandatory, in cluster 3 it
isn't.
