Hi,

Zones aka containers are only supported with Solaris 10.

In a very basic way here is how the whole thing is installed:

1. You install Solaris 10
2. Zones are created without installing any further OS
3. Applications are installed within a zone

For more info on zones look here:
http://www.sun.com/software/solaris/utilization.jsp

If you need multiple versions of Solaris on a server you need system with
multiple domains as the E4900, E6900 or the E2xk.
