Default Graphics display problem with XVR-100

I have 2 XVR-100 graphic cards in a SunFire V250, running Solaris 9 and the
Gnome desktop.

When in a web browser, acrobat reader, etc., if I grab the scrollbar and drag
the window content, the display gets slightly screwed up. If there are lines
text, some of the individual lines will become unreadable. It appears as
though one or more horizontal lines is being lost. This does not happen if
you jump-scroll. Is this an inherent problem with the XVR-100 such that it
cannot process the screen updates quickly enough and the display buffer
becomes corrupted? Is there anything that can be done to improve the
situation.

I saw this problem with Sun CRT monitors running at 1280x1024 and I still
see the problem when using new Planar 20" LCD monitors set to 1600x1200.

Thanks for any insights.
