What is your goal in all of this?

The disks are all standard hard drives and can be used in nearly any
array that will take those types of drives.

You cannot change the type of SCSI that the backplane uses.

You can use external disks to get better performance. Is your
performance in fact bound by the disks?

As for PCI, chances are you'll get a SBUS system and PCI cards won't
work in it. If you want to stay within the realm of what has been
