I guess Tivoli has a product call Christie BMR (Bare Machine Recovery)
that would let you do this in a jiffy as intended... but I am not very
sure if this is certified on P-Series hardware.

Beside the conventional way would be that you could take a mksysb tape
for disaster recovery of the ROOTVG and later import the other VG's....
