Thanks Kevin, The other Kevin Collins was a Radio Amateur on Willis Island
(a Met Station off the Queensland coast) -- I used to speak to him daily or
thrice daily sometimes --as I was a Radio Amateur too. His call was VK9ZC VK
= Australia 9 denoting an Australian State or Territory and ZC was Willis
and C he was the third to operate from there

Mine was VK
3 = Victoria
AH -- as I took over a deceased persons call though I got my licence in
1954 --

Incidenally got that memory on Sunday and it is well on its way to
Mallacoota.

Thanks again -- trusting the explanation makes sense! Regards Ken
