Sorry, hit the wrong key, trying again:

I try to get xmperf (performance toolbox) to run on AIX 5.3 ML3. The X
Server is cygwin. All X apps I ran so far worked with this combination
so I didn't realize why xmperf shouldn't. Display exported, X running
(tested by opening an xterm) the message is

Unable to locate font "-*-*-medium-r-*--15-100-100-100-c-70-iso8859-*"
Program can't continue without a font.
Please specify an existing font in the program's resource file.
Then execute the program again.

OK, I googled a bit and found that one might want to change the entry
*GraphFont in /usr/lib/X11/app-defaults/XMperf. So I figured out what
fonts are existing using xlsfonts and made the entry accordingly. But
the message still appears as if the entry is not read at all.

Does that sound familiar to anyone?
