Hello everyone,

I tried to change the MTU size of my eht0 to 1480 using ifconfig:
"ifconfig eht0 mut 1480". However every reboot I perform the old 1500 number
comes back. How can I save the changes made using ifconfig?
My second question is, after typing "ifconfig eht0 down" then "ifconfig
eth0 up", I cannot even ping any address. Do I need to restart any other
services?
