Hi group,
I am a newbie to Linux.
When I boot from a Knoppix CD into my Thinkpad 600 E,
my D-link network card is found and configured with just
a couple of clicks. Obviously running from CD makes
things slow but I am on the net in no time.
But when I boot from a Debian CD 3.0 r2, I donīt get
very far because I can not point to where needed files
for the network card are located. Or how that is properly
phrased in Linux jingo, packages etc.
Any suggestions for how to proceed, or explanation
of the relation / difference between Knoppix and Debian?
