may be a stupid question but sometime's You have no ideas at all.

The problem is that we plan to upgrade a 6H1 from one to two proc's. Got
a new processor board. OS is still 4.3.3. The downtime should be as
short as possible. As far as I know the OS won't boot after the upgrade
because of the uniprocessor kernel installed. On the other hand, I know
no way to install a multiprocessor kernel prior to the upgrade.

The only way I worked out for doing the upgrade is to mksysb the machine
and resore it afterwards.

Does anyone know a way of more elegance?
