Default SCO frustration.... Was: Need Openserver 5.0.5 Media Kit

Thanks Bela. I see you work at SCO but you must understand why I have much
difficulty supporting SCO as opposed to Linux. It not so much the technical
side.... it's mainly that I'm numbed with licensing.

1. What is the logic of not providing iso images of cd's? We're forced to
buy a media kit because the manual is that valuable?
2. Aren't licenses good enough since you must enter the code before
installation proceeds?
3. What can't I purchase (preferably download) a discontiued version of SCO
media kit to help out an end user? They lost the cd and SCO is forcing them
to upgrade? In their eyes, this only looks bad to SCO.
4. I read a review on 5.0.6 which has minor enhancements to 5.0.5
(http://www.aplawrence.com/Reviews/osr506.html) I don't see that value from
what I read. There's got to be some logic into why 5.0.5 licenses will work
in 5.0.6. Maybe managment thought they would be nice and consider this a
mostly "bug fix" release. Still, this ought to be stated. Will there be a
5.0.6 patch that effectively disables 5.0.5 licenses to punish those of us
doing this. If 5.0.7 contains significant more value, then fine.. charge for
the upgrade. But if 5.0.6 doesn't then don't charge. Or make 5.0.5 media
kits available for download. I'm not asking that much.
5. http://www.caldera.com/products/open...factsheet.html..... lot's
of broken links at SCO....

Feel free to let a SCO Product manager call me to discuss.
