Wait a minute, you lost me here. If you haven't touched a Red Hat
derivative in six years, how is it you still struggle with its
oddities?

Regarding the OP's question, my perception (which may well be wrong)
is that more users move from other distros to Slackware, than vice
versa. If that's so, this would seem to be the most logical place
to ask about differences.
