And how many are actually Linux? 3, maybe 4 if you count
module-init-tools. I think Stallman is in his right to call it
GNU/Linux, unless you can point out a greater source of software,
*needed* for *basic* functionality. I don't think you can, I don't
think there is one.
Try installing a functioning Linux-system without *any* GNU software,
we'll see how far you'll get.
