Hello,
I have a small problem when I attempt to install a slackware 9.1 on a desktop
computer, where the harddisk is 100GB.

I have a NTFS partition of ~20GB with winXP, an extended one with a 20GB FAT32
and a 512MB swap. Finally, the remaining space ~60GB is shared in two free
partitions available for linux (30GBx2)

Now when installing lilo during the slackware 9.1 setup, I get the following
error:
Cannot open /proc/partition
and lilo does not install.

I have tried with a 30GB unformatted partition (set w. partition magic 8) then
quick formatted to jfs (with adequate kernel support). As it has failed, I
formatted the partition to ext2 under PM8 with winXP, and then retried to set a
jfs partition with the Slack setup.

Both returned the same error, I think partition magic is guilty, but I don't
know how to solve that problem.
