I recently experimented with that structure on my Dell Latitude
laptop,
and can confirm that while Slackware worked just fine on the logical
partition, Windows hated being on the misplaced primary (it took
forever to start up, and many tools such as Ghost, Partition Magic
and Drive Image mply refused to work from that partition for various
reasons).
