Far less risky, as far as spammers harvesting adresses is concerned.
I doubt that a smammer would bother putting up an on-topic post
just to harvest a dozen or so adresses. Forv example, letting friends
and family who use Microsoft Outlook know your email address is a far
greater risk.

That being said, http://www.sneakemail.com/ is a great solution for
those who don't want to expoise their email adresses.
