Note - usually you can just get it working the way you want with your
favourite automated method (KDE control center, XFree86 -configure, etc)
and just switch the driver (and if it doesn't work, nothing will be
damaged, just make sure you back up your old config before trying it -
always good practice, whenever you're editing a config)
