I pretty much did ...$1800 out the door while it was still bleeding edge.
On the upside, the Sony 17" monitor still works as good as the day I bought
it.

No, 32bit technology. Still a good card.

I think that's because firefox still uses that gecko engine thingie (does
it?). I notice non-gecko web browsers (galeon, Konqueor, etc) boot almost
instantly. I cut Mozilla's boot time from 18 secs to about 8 secs by
disabling KDE's aRts sound server autoboot.
