After contacting Patrick yesterday to find out if there was a
reason why gcc-3.3.4 hadn't been included in Slackware-current,
he said that he is trying to declare it done and release soon but
he had been doing extensive testing of gcc-3.3.4 and final
consideration was being made about adding it before release. I
would say that he is one step closer as I see gcc-3.3.4 was added
to Slackware-current today.
