Nor that permission was asked-for/received to post the email to a public
forum.

Also, the "Slackware linux" logo on your website is remarkably similar to
the original on the official Slackware website. No indication that
permission was give to use it and it's not used as a link to the Slackware
website.

I don't see anything wrong with having a website about Slackware; there
are many websites about MS Windows. But imo you should not be using
copyrighted material without permission and you should have a disclaimer
on your website. And, since you are selling advertising, a policy to
contribute a percentage to the Slackware project would be appropriate.
