Thanks for this - Actually, my background is electronics, career-wise,
but lately I had an opportunity to jump into some lumps of metal
drafting. :-)
But I'll certainly pass on the link - there's usually a thread about
electronics CAD going on in one of the sci.electronics groups.
I've also decided to check out some of the other programs that have
been pointed out - today, I exported one of my most "sophisticated"
MDT6 drawings to a step file and to an iges file (the iges took
about 10 minutes!) and intend to look at them as soon as I get
something cad-like running. :-) (concurrently have taken on learning
C++ - in the C++ NG, I said, "I can't offer much to a tutor, other
than bragging points, i.e., 'I tutored that registered BOZO, Rich
Grise, in C++'". What an ego, huh?
Thanks!
