Before I found the ALSA mixer I came across the Kmixer and sure all the
controls were at 0. Adusting them gave me sound. When I ran 'Volume
Control I found a tab for 'VIA 82C686 ( ALSA Mixer)'. The control were
then alright. It makes me feel like bonehead when I miss something that
simple, but I think that's better than messin' around with config files.
