sorry, my news server didn't get the top message so i'm repling to you.
who does this bug affect?
i tried your new pkgtool, its fast as never before , and package list is
working again.
i make (personal) packages with checkinstall 1.5.3, but usualy dont include
any info (default is "package created with checkinstall, blabla")... am i
affected?
one more thingie, this feature dissapeared in slack 10. on "remove" or
"view" package list, i hit the first key to quick browse to packages
beggining with, say "k". not any more (only on main menu, but that does not
help much)! need i say that adding this would probably make pkgtool perfect
again

btw, using it on slack 10, with no problem. compiled from current. perhaps,
when this is over, a package for slack 10 could appear on linuxpackages? i
mean, pkgtools 10 is quite horrible and slow
