Default Re: USB PRINTER SETUP (Samsung ML-1740)

It works fine with windows and with mozilla, netscape, kwrite, kmail and
open office, but I can't get it to lpr or llpr a standard text file.
The Samsung people claim to support slackware (for which we should all
be grateful), but I don't think their 'help' people really understand
the question. I just want to print text files (program listings,
mostly) like in the old days, not with a word processor. Any hope?

And does anybody know of a linux word processor that will allow 15 or 20
columns in a 4-point or smaller font? Word Perfect can't see the
Samsung, abiword can't even load the file I want to print, open office
is nice but the smallest font is 6 point, kwrite won't do columns...
