If all you want is to share the Internet connection on the GNU/Linux
box, then enable Internet Connection Sharing on the Windows box and,
simply, assign the ethernet IP of the Windows box as a gateway to the
GNU/Linux box. And, yes, do place a valid nameserver entry in
/etc/resolv.conf. And that's it.
