tnx for ur suggestion, i usually compile my own kernel, for the
previouse questions i got only 1 cpu.

i'll try out the 2.4 kernel with smp module enabled.

unfortunaly every time i tried to kompile 2.6 (without initrd) all i
can see is a damned panic on mounting reiser partitions .. even i put
the reiser module is added as include, not external module ..
