Is it a desktop running X or a server? If the first make sure your
booting into runlevel 3 and then unplug the harddisk from the old
computer and plug it into the new computer and boot. Setup X to use your
new graphic card and alsa to use your new sound card.

If the latter then just unplug the harddisk from the old computer and
put it into the new one and boot.

From here you can migrate your system to the new harddisk following
this HOWTO /usr/doc/Linux-HOWTOs/Hard-Disk-Upgrade
