First of all you're everytime welcome
to check <http://bugs.gentoo.org/> and
<http://forums.gentoo.org/> and check
if you got a well-known-problem.

While installing Gentoo I got the error
that gcc crashed everytime when doing a
'emerge world', emerging gcc alone worked
for me, maybe you want to try this out.
