You want to follow the alternative install directions since the box already
has a working linux on it. The main thing to examine is what cpu does it
have along with ram. If it's less then a p2-500 or equiv with 128 megs,
then I'd go the package route and use one of the other machines to build
the neccessary binary packages. You also have to option of setting up
distcc and using the other machines to help build the binaries and keep
them on just one of them for faster installation over the network.
