Hi
On a box with 4 HT physical processors, Windows looks at them as follows:
0,1 2,3 are the 1st 'processor' on a chip
4,5,6,7 are the 2nd 'processor' on a chip.
So if you want SQL not to use the 2nd HT 'processor', don't enable 4,5,6,7
