| We recently upgraded our server from AIX 3.3.2 to AIX 5.1.0. Since then you have to press the down arrow twice for it to go down once on a SMIT screen. This only happens on the first down-arrow press, not the subsequent ones. For example, I call up smit from root and to go from 'Software Installation and Maintenance' to 'Software License Management', I have to press the down-arrow twice. But to go from 'Software License Management' to 'Devices', I only have to press it once. This occurs on every invocation of a new screen, For example, if I go to the 'Devices' menu, have to press the down-arrow to go from 'Install/Configure Devices Added After IPL' to 'Printer/Plotter', and a single arrow for the next line, etc. For me, it is no big deal, but out ERP application requires the wyse 50 and its screens have the same down-arrow problem. |

In which case you've been out of support for a decade. > Since then you > have to press the down arrow twice for it to go down once on a SMIT screen. > This only happens on the first down-arrow press, not the subsequent ones. > For example, I call up smit from root and to go from 'Software Installation > and Maintenance' to 'Software License Management', I have to press the > down-arrow twice. Since the Wyse50 hasn't changed over that time, I suspect that the file hasn't. However, if you still have a problem, submit a support call as at least now, you are supported. > For me, it is > no big deal, but out ERP application requires the wyse 50 and its screens > have the same down-arrow problem. You need a new release of the app for sure. |
