| Hi, I installed a new HMC with 3.2-6 (RedHat). The websm is working fine, but after a ssh as "hscroot" to the HMC, I can NOT su to root. How can I do that? Another question is how (which key combination) to switch from websm om the HMC itself to the Linux shell ? Jan W |

Sometimes it is handy f.e. for lspartition commands, now even the hscroot can't give a command at all JW |

You must be at the HMC on the console. You can't log in as root, only su to root. Go to the Linux shell --> CTRL-ATL-F1 ; Back to WebSM --> CTRL-ALT-F2 or sometimes CTRL-ALT-F3. Regards, Jon |
