 1800-106 error restoring 8mm tape on different aix-machine Restoring a 8mm tape form system_a on system_b gives error: 1800-106 An error occured sbread: Cannot write to standard output sbread: No space left on device sysrestore: Unable to read table of contents from device /dev/rmt0.1. There are a lot of systems which cannot run with AIX 3.x. It may also be that you try to restore a 5GB tape on a 2.3 GB drive. This would not work. Regards - Ulrich. |
