Hi,

I am trying to apply maintenance level 04 to AIX 5.2, but installp
complains that I don't have bos.dlc installed. The trouble is that
when I try to install bos.dlc from the AIX 5.2 cd, installp complains
that this requisite is missing:

csm.msg.en_US.core 1.4.0.0

I have used lslpp to check this, and it says that version 1.3.0.0 is
installed. I tried installing all csm.* packages that I could find on
the AIX 5.2 cd, but this also fails, complaining that requisite
1.4.0.0 is not already installed. I appear to be in a catch22
situation.

Can anyone suggest where I can find this missing package, and how I
can install it? Failing this, is there some way to force AIX to report
that the maintenace level is now 04? oslevel -r still reports level
zero. Just about all of maintenance 04 applied successfully - it was
only the dlc update that failed, and I assume that this caused the
final update of the ODM to not run, so the system still thinks it is
at level zero.

Go to:
... Search string... and insert "csm

select at least: ( I assume that csm.core does have your ..msg fileset )

csm.core.1.4.0.0
