| 248965986 Hope I can find out a little more info here. I have an Ultra 5 and it's running Sparc Solaris 2.7. It's OK when I booting with keyboard(without monitor), but when I unpluged keyboard - not, and console(port A - ttya) can log me only in OpenBoot. ================================================== ==================== Sun Ultra 5/10 UPA/PCI (UltraSPARC-IIi 400MHz), No Keyboard OpenBoot 3.25, 256 MB (50 ns) memory installed, Serial #16099179. Ethernet address 8:0:20:f5:a7:6b, Host ID: 80f5a76b. Boot device: disk File and args: SunOS Release 5.7 Version Generic_106541-25 64-bit [UNIX(R) System V Release 4.0] Copyright (c) 1983-2002, Sun Microsystems, Inc. / <-- and stopped here, then i send break and log in openboot (OK) ================================================== ==================== Anyone got any ideas to boot my Ultra without keyboard? One way is to add * * don't care about kbd set abort_enable=0 * to your /etc/system file. Btw, this question's been asked multiple times. Think about consulting google before posting. Martin |

Are you sure your system boots *with* the keyboard attached Anyway, as mentioned earlier, a little googling would have given you another hint: +++++ Halt the system and at the "{1} ok" prompt, type the following: {1} ok setenv input-device ttya input-device = ttya {1} ok reset The system will begin to boot, so remove the keyboard. +++++ However, you will have to reset this if you're planning to reuse the keyboard.
