despite googling like mad all afternoon and aside from lots of smooth,
glib non specific assurances regarding Sun MC, I am unable to actually
ascertain exactly WHAT I can expect it to monitor.

In particular (cutting a VERY long story short) does it "out of the
box" monitor

PSU fault
HBA fault
Raid controller fault
Network interface fault
Temperature
Memory module fault
