| Hello, I am having problems removing the ipp-listener (SUNWipplr) package and hope that someone can help. First, I try to remove the package: [Tue Jul 31 09:53:52 root@server ~:23] # pkgrm SUNWipplr The following package is currently installed: SUNWipplr Internet Printing Protocol(IPP) listener, (root) (sparc) 13.1,REV=2005.01.08.05.16 Do you want to remove this package? [y,n,?,q] y ## Removing installed package instance <SUNWipplr> (A previous attempt may have been unsuccessful.) This package contains scripts which will be executed with super-user permission during the process of removing this package. Do you want to continue with the removal of this package [y,n,?,q] y ## Verifying package <SUNWipplr> dependencies in global zone ## Processing package information. ## Executing preremove script. ## Removing pathnames in class <manifest> svc:/application/print/ipp-listener:default remains enabled; aborting pkgrm: ERROR: class action script did not complete successfully Removal of <SUNWipplr> failed. [Tue Jul 31 09:54:06 root@server ~:24] # OK, I check my svcs: [Tue Jul 31 09:54:06 root@adept ~:24] # svcs -a | grep -i ipp disabled 11:03:46 svc:/application/print/ipp-listener:default I'm running Solaris 10 on a a T2000: [Tue Jul 31 14:05:17 root@adept ~:29] # cat /etc/release Solaris 10 11/06 s10s_u3wos_10 SPARC I've never had problems removing a package even with SMF so this is a little baffling. Some services' (e.g. webconsole) process still runs even thought it is disabled. Victor |
