Is DB2 Personal Edition still a free download from somewhere on the IBM
website? If yes, can you remind me where to find it? For several versions,
it was a free download with no time limit on the licence; if that's still
available, I'd like to direct a few people there so that they can try it.

Also, are there any free downloads or "try and buys" for any of the _other_
DB2 editions, like Workgroup edition? What about add-on products like the
DB2 Table Editor or Information Integrator?

I've tried searches at the IBM web site but I must not be using the right
search words because I'm not finding what I want. (Or maybe what I want
doesn't exist.)

I believe what was free was db2 personal developer. This is only free for
development and not production use. You can normally get a trial (time
limited) version of db2 enterprise. For other trials e.g. QP you normally
have to talk nicely to you IBM account manager.

Why bother trying to find V8 code when DB2 V9 express-c is free and allows
inbound connection

Also have read the documentation in the info center?

I can find that easily enough but I like to "get my hands dirty", it's not
enough for me to just read about something most of the time.
