| I installed Debian in the default way, just hitting return on the boot prompt. I had a flash disk connected and my USB wireless adapter, and when I got to the point of partitioning, there was displayed the flash disk, along with the devices which the system takes as SCSI for insertion of memory modules. It installed a kernel 2.4. But I couldn't use that installation because my mouse failed to work. The arrow was there and I could move it, but it didn't respond with the mouse clicks. I am using a wireless keyboard and mouse coupled to the same unit. Then I changed to a 2.6 kernel and the mouse was all right, but the installation wouldn't show my flash disk nor the pretended SCSI devices. Now I have the problem that my wireless adapter is not recognized in Debian in spite of that its led lights and the driver (module) is now installed. I had to compile my own kernel. I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to fix this, as I am also interested in using my flash disk. Teilhard. |
