If your question is serious ... you have provided far to little
information for anyone to give you a useful answer. For all we
know you have one table, one record, and a 60GB AVI file.

You need to provide more Information like :-

How many tables and Sizes of tables ?

What type of disk ? Is the migration on the same machine ? Moving to
Oracle are you using Veritas Quick I/O if not you will get performance
issues on normal file systems ?

What machine , OS and memory ?

etc etc.

Other things you need to consider :-

Will Informix data types convert to Oralce datatypes

Stored procedures

Are you using Informix Fragmentation ?

This just the tip of the Iceberg. But hopefully you get some ideas and
send more information.

You get the general idea.Very sad that you are migrating from Informix
to Oracle. Well actually criminal but IBM please take note my job
market is fast disappearing and I dislike retraining :-)
