Hi,

The problem is that the results for the fist recordset are known for
your app, but not fo the database server.

Have you tried someting like this?

insert the rows for the first recordset in a temporary table
link this table to other ones to get the second recorset

In pseudocode (sorry, don't know the Visual FoxPro sintax):
execute(select columns_for_the_fisrt_recorset
from tables_for_the_fisrt_recorset
where conditons_for_the_fisrt_recorset
into temp temporary_1_recorset with no log)

prepare( select columns_for_the_second_recordset
from tables_for_the_second_recordset, temporary_1_recorset
where conditions_for_the_second_recordset
and conditions_linking_the_two_tables)

get second recordset results.

Hope it helps.
