Default i4gl install failed

Hi ,
I am not new in installing informix products,
But I have failed on installing i4gl new product which is just arriving.
I4GL: 7.32.FC2
AIX: 5.2
The error message list below:
# install4gl
exec(): 0509-036 cannot load program etc/brand because of the following errors:
0509-124 The program is a discontinued 64-bit object file
installation of IBM INFORMIX-4GL failed

I had installed IDS9.4.FC2 on these site successfully,
and the AIX has been set up as 64 bit .
Anyone can help me out ?

It sounds like you have the AIX 4.3.3 64-bit port of I4GL with the FC2
version, rather than the AIX 5.2 version. Please contact your
supplier and obtain the AIX 5.2 version of I4GL -- and be sure to
order the AIX 5.2 versions explicitly in future.

[PS: thanks to my internal contact who not only happened to respond to
my question within minutes, even on a Saturday morning (afternoon),
but came up with a plausible answer.]

I have a similiar problem. When I run the I4gL, it also shows the sam
error message.

I have consulted the IBM technical engineer and he is very kind t
suggest the following solution:

If you have run into the defect 176051 after upgrading to AIX 5.3 TL 4
please apply the fix for APAR IY83580. The fix should solve th
problem.

I have implemented it and the problem is fixed.

Please remind that my AIX is 5300-04 and I4GL is 7.32 FC3.

GOOD LUCK.
