I'm looking for something like the GNU "indent" utility for C code: a utility
that reformats 4GL and OpenRoad/W4GL source into a standard layout.

I need to do this for ESQL/C also, but I think I can accomplish that with a
little python scripting and "indent".

I was asking about something similar way back to 2001....and got no
responses. "Roll your own" would probably be your best bet. I'd give
you what I had as a starting point, but I don't have access to it
anymore. It went with the place I used to be when the chained the
doors shut w/o notice a few years back

There was an old posting about ABF/OSL.. try the website:
https://osqtools.dev.java.net/ there's a GPL project there..

For OpenRoad I haven't found a tool, but of course you could write
your own ;[ and add it to the OR community projects :-) ]

Hi Bill,

I maked a utility fews years ago was that the exchange of 4GL code and
convert to Delphi, is a tool that was the conversion of code and
forms.

I do not know whether to make only reindent or macro replacement (END
by end) and leave variables in capital letters, or with the first
letter in uppercase and other lower, that is change aesthetically
reading the source.
