Default SQL Server 2000 and Access 97

Hi

we're using Access 97 and are looking to convert our databases to SQL 2000.

I don't really want to upgrade to Access 2000 as I've heard it is very
difficult to work on the design of a database whilst users are logged in.

I've installed SQL and tried out a test db.

I've been having lots of errors with the odbc drivers regarding ntext
problems and records in the access linked tables showing as #Deleted
although he data is viewable in SQL.

I was just wondering if Access 97 not a good option when connecting to SQL
Server..

If so, could someone shed light on the reasons not to use Access 97.

Or if my error are more down to bad setup, then I'll ask specific questions
on my errors in future posts.

Thanks

Jado
