Default memory and oracle 9i database

Hi,
I have 64 MB RAM only installed on my dual boot
system.

hda = win98
hdc = Mandrake Linux 9.1 hard drive = 40 GB

My question: if my system runs fine and will need
some CMOS BIOS tinkering if I need to add more RAM, what can I get by
running with 9i. Anything?

Thanks.

Forget it.

9i published minima are 512MB. You can run with 192MB, but I've had nothing
but grief with 128MB. And with 64MB... well, like I said ... forget it.

256MB is the realistic minimum. 512MB or higher is best.

Given the low cost of RAM I'd think you could just borrow a few chips from a
friend.

Provided you don't run any other Oracle sw on that machine. I am
currently running 9i, designer 6i on a 392 Mb PC. Repository reports
in Designer has the CPU drop to 1 percent, and that one percent is
used by taskman
