Default Telnet timeout problem ?

Hi,

Env : SCO Openserver 5.0.5

We used to connect onto one of our other companies using a leased line
connection between us and them, and telnet. Now we're using the
Internet instead of the leased line and are seeing that after a
(fairly short) period of inactivity, the connection gets closed.

Does anyone know, why this happens, and what I can do to prevent it ?

Thanks
Phil.

Phil,

Maybe the keepalive on the telnet session might need tweaking.

Keepalives are discussed in some detail in:
