Care to show any header-signed PGP messages which include the "BEGIN PGP
SIGNED MESSAGE" line? I haven't seen any, so would genuinely like to see
one.

No. They don't. That's one of the good things about them: They don't get
in people's faces with their PGP sigs; don't violate the spirit of the
4-line sig rule.

The program that depends on the in-your-face pgpsigs is poorly designed,
there being no reason for this except ego. It makes a lot more sense to
have the program look for a header like X-PGP: .....

I use a reader that supports PGP signing, but sign using a pipe to gpg
anyway. I think there was an issue where slrn's gpg addon could only do
MIME-signed posts, which I disliked. Perhaps that's changed, but I
haven't yet looked.

BTW, please trim your posts to relevant context, and please shorten your
pre-PGP sig to four lines or fewer.

Hmpf. Perl is significantly more readable after encryption.

Okay, I was starting to see that. Are there any newsreaders that can
do these two things?

I don't think that's an issue with gnupg.sl, at least, which seems to be
quite a popular signing macro.
