Feel free to cancel them at will. > > Here is how to cancel the "pgp trash troll delete" posts: > And why in the why world would you cancel any post ? Just a question of balance. Most of these posts are utter nonsense, right, they are what they are made for. Irritate you (9). And some are quite nice in this way. Though, some remarks sometimes, barely I must admit in the last months, are just pure logic, which is rare enough to be selected Would you miss the next savior just because you don't like much the color (colour ?/pick ur local) of the pants he's laundering face up to you ? Well, maybe, a taste od 'societe du spectacle' hit you for good then ? Oh, damnit.. Better off bed. And never pretend I didn't say so, that's .. Er.. G'nite Wundah blundally as corways (9) You: not only you but me too, and them, and them too |

Ok so it was probably traceable through headers and would have been shown to be a spoof eventually, but probably not until after considerable hassle. PGP makes spotting spoof posts a lot easier. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 6.5.8ckt http://www.hn.org/drno/pgp.shtml iQA/AwUBP6vta7HlcSptAz1hEQJlHQCgzF5fOoXLTV+fcXWL/iEX+GkJ3FsAnA1J 2QKyIt6RahwPvW85PEjdZRh0 =jipU -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

I'm not one of them, but I've met people who could, and have, forged a header. Wheras I have yet to meet anyone who has forged a digitally signed message. Your script idea would work...most of the time. But I disagree that it's simpler. What could be simpler than checking an option in my news program and it says at the top of every message I read whether it has been validly signed or not? And would you be able to implement your script under windows, which is like it or not the most common OS? And given that there is a PGP system in place, running on about 20OSes, and well-tested by the community, why not just use that? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: 6.5.8ckt http://www.hn.org/drno/pgp.shtml iQA/AwUBP6vu07HlcSptAz1hEQJe2ACfQy9Tb6C2CVwwNe/RKnOvjZSTELQAnRva +9Hp1V/HTqxPWoHu0hDlrQXM =4jgG -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
