I was just wondering is there anyway to get Gnome dropline GNOME 2.4.0
working on slackware 9.1 ?

I've installed it in Slackware 9.1 using dropline-installer with parameter
-f (force). That works.

Did you try dropline-installer-2.2.7?
I installed DG without any extra options and without problems.
Everything that I have checked works smoothly (perhaps, except
a minor bug in gxine).

There's also the --force option if version squew is a problem

warning for lprng users: dropline will attempt to change your printing
system to cups without notice and wreck lprng on any startup of the
dropline installer.

At leats a few releases ago. I haven't touched it since then...
