How to do???
before recompile XFree86 3.x delete all XFree86 4.x files????

Why recompile XFree86-3.3.6 when it is already compiled in the
pasture directory? All you should need to do is install it.

Well, "how to do???" is not an easy question to answer.
If your concern is just the old installation then the answer is NO, you
don't delete anything unless you're absolutely sure that your new
installation works. Just move it to a safe location. Once all is done and
tested and you're sure that new install works as you expected then you can
get rid of the old files.
